The Religious Society of Friends was established in the 1600s in Britain, and was especially active in Pennsylvania and other parts of the eastern U.S.
Friends (Quakers) congregate in a "Meeting for Worship" on Sundays. This "corporate" meeting, in addition to individual spiritual activities, is a grounding and personally valuable event for us.
A group of Enso Village residents, along with friends from the local community, meet in person on the first Sunday of each month, in a traditional "unprogrammed" Meeting for Worship. Because this meeting is "silent," it is quite compatible with many other silent meditation-centered practices. We invite all to visit and sit with us each month. We will provide some guidance for newcomers. The time is 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm Pacific Time and the meeting begins promptly. Remember to silence your phone.
